Why We Urgently Need Your Help  

​

From April through November, there is an influx of kittens in the GMA and Fortunate Felines Rescue needs fosters who can help us save these vulnerable lives. Kitten fosters provide care and support to kittens until they are old enough to be adopted or receive a life-saving relocation to an area where they have a better chance of adoption.

Throughout the entire year, we are also bringing adult cats into care to help them get healthy and ready for adoption. There are always more kittens and cats in need than fosters available. You can make a big difference by fostering these vulnerable animals, only for a couple weeks, and helping to spread the word about your experience to other prospective foster parents. 

We provide all the food, supplies and medical services, as well as all the support you can ask for—all we need from you is TLC. Fostering saves lives!

How to Become a Foster

To get started, please complete the online application today. Once we receive your application, we’ll set up a home visit with you to go over all the details and get you ready for your first foster furbaby.

Foster Eligibility Requirements

We have some basic requirements. All fosters must:

• Be 19 years or older.

• Be willing and able to take your fosters to follow-up veterinary appointments every 2-3 weeks.

• Keep your foster pets separate from household pets for 10-14 days in a spare room.

• Feed, replace litter and keep their area clean.

• Monitor their daily health.

• Socialize them (play and cuddle!)
